Summary: Hotel Nikko San Francisco is seeking a
dynamic and detail-oriented Operations Manager
to oversee daily operations and lead strategic initiatives within the Rooms Division, including the Front Office, Housekeeping, Guest Services, and Reservations functions. This role is pivotal in driving operational excellence, maintaining the highest standards of guest service, and fostering the principles of Omotenashi (Japanese hospitality). The ideal candidate will bring exceptional leadership skills, a passion for hospitality, and a proven ability to enhance operational efficiency while delivering an unparalleled guest experience. Essential Functions:
Operational Leadership
Oversee daily activities of the Rooms Division, including Front Office, Housekeeping, Guest Services, and Reservations, to ensure smooth and efficient operations in alignment with Hotel Nikko's standards. Serve as a key liaison between departments, facilitating seamless communication and collaboration to optimize guest satisfaction and operational success. Monitor and analyze key performance metrics (e.g., occupancy, ADR, RevPAR, and guest satisfaction scores) to identify trends and opportunities for improvement. Partner with the Reservations and Revenue teams to ensure alignment on strategies that maximize room revenue and enhance the booking experience for guests. Project Management
Lead and coordinate projects, including process improvements, technology implementation, and sustainability initiatives, to enhance departmental efficiency. Assist in planning and executing renovations or operational upgrades, ensuring minimal disruption to guests and operations. Develop and implement SOPs to standardize and elevate operations across the Rooms Division. Guest Experience
Champion the guest experience by ensuring the consistent delivery of exceptional service across all touchpoints within the Rooms Division. Address and resolve guest concerns promptly, turning challenges into opportunities to exceed expectations. Leverage guest feedback to refine service delivery and enhance offerings in line with luxury hospitality standards. Team Development
Mentor and guide department leaders and team members, fostering a culture of accountability, engagement, and professional growth. Deliver training programs to align staff with operational goals, brand standards, and the principles of Omotenashi. Support team members in adapting to evolving guest expectations, technology advancements, and operational goals. Budget & Financial Management
Assist in preparing and managing the Rooms Division budget, identifying opportunities for cost savings and revenue growth. Monitor departmental expenses, ensuring adherence to financial targets while maintaining high standards of service. Salary Range:
$70,000 - $90,000 Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management or a related field (preferred). Proven leadership experience in Rooms Division operations, including Front Office and Reservations. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with exceptional attention to detail. Proficiency in property management systems (e.g., Opera) and Microsoft Office Suite. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a passion for delivering exceptional guest experiences. Track record of successfully managing projects and improving operational efficiency in a luxury hospitality environment.
