Senior Vice President, Government Engagement, Latin America and Caribbean Overview Mastercard is dedicated to promoting inclusive growth and financial inclusion. The mandate of the LAC Regional Public Sector unit is to build durable, trusted relationships with key government agencies to accelerate their transition to a cashless ecosystem through digitalization, while increasing revenues and seeding new markets for Mastercard. We drive relevance and revenues in the government space by developing effective regional go-to-market campaigns supported by clear priorities, success metrics, and incentives. We provide expert sales support to both country managers and local sales resources through a solid client engagement playbook approach. We guide the transition from reactive solutions sales to strategic government engagement programs. And we ensure alignment between regional demand and our global solutions. LAC Regional Public Sector role focuses on aligning Mastercard’s product, service, and ecosystem capabilities to solve for the challenges government clients face today in the areas of financial inclusion, citizen services, economic development, and operational excellence. We do this by engaging, listening, and leading. The role requires industry subject matter expertise, relationship building at the most senior levels, and closing deals. We apply Mastercard’s capabilities and market organizing skills to support client success. We have a good idea of what works. But we also have a passion for learning, exploring new capabilities, and applying the best methodologies and insights to the government business. This role is at the heart of our intent to build commercial engagements in the government space and scale our business across the region to drive revenues, market relevance, and societal-economic impact. The unit is regionally deployed and focuses on a select number of priority markets and clients, directly agreed with – and accountable to - the senior leadership in the region. The LAC Regional Public Sector business lead is accountable for: The development of the LAC regional government strategy, including a list of prioritized client and solution opportunities. Demand analysis at regional and division level, engaging with division & country market development teams and country managers. Mapping demand into existing Mastercard solutions. Identifying gaps in our solutions portfolio and actively engaging the relevant units, regionally or globally through the Global Government Center of Excellence, to address gaps and influence roadmaps. Identifying new locally developed solutions, running opportunity demand analysis, and developing the business case for replication, engaging the relevant units. Driving those new solutions to market. Establishing the overall business model for Mastercard’s engagement in LAC. The development of regional relevant thought leadership and solution/engagement innovation programs The direct engagement on prioritized, strategic client opportunities to provide: Expert sales support to local market development and sales teams Assistance to country managers in understanding existing business requirements, government engagement strategy, building relationship maps, and helping win strategic deals Alignment of global, regional, and local resources to drive project execution at the client level, in close coordination with all relevant regional and local units, and with other parts of the Mastercard Strategic Growth unit. The development of a scaling program across the region, including: The capacity building at the division and country level through organizing sales trainings on relevant Mastercard solutions, on global and regional narratives, and on client references. The growth of the existing regional community of practice to cross-fertilize regional and global best practices This position reports directly to the LAC Market Development EVP with dual reporting to the Head of Public Sector and Strategic Growth globally. Role

Primary accountability for development and execution of the regional government strategy, starting from: Understanding regional, national, and local priorities, both for the various governments and Mastercard Engaging region and division leadership to prioritize clients and solution opportunities. Securing global, regional, and local resources to execute on the plan and drive marquee wins Measuring the clients pipeline across the region in order to grow it, and developing new approaches to improving pipeline conversion into revenues Accelerating solutions deployment and capacity development by providing regional trainings, facilitating best practice and solution exchanges, developing locally relevant engagement playbooks, and providing expert sales support for prioritized engagements. Represent the Region within Strategic Growth. Drive strategic alignment. Build and curate the regional community of practice. Act as first line of support for regional & divisional presidents for thought leadership and strategic engagements. All About You

Experience working for or closely with government agencies, managing process improvement and transformative change initiatives, as well as proven experience in engaging very senior government leaders to build durable relations. Proven track in leading and closing large and complex government deals in the region. Consultative selling focused, with deep product, services, and solutions expertise. Adept at interacting with senior Mastercard stakeholders in terms of engagement, communication, and transparency of purpose. Can skillfully lead complex regional initiatives that require collaboration across functional, geographical, and cultural lines. Demonstrated ability to work across divisional boundaries, within the region. Self-motivated, thrives in a fast-paced environment; readiness to take-on stretch goals. Strong gravitas, exceptional relationship management, influencing, and communication skills. Undergraduate degree required. MBA or graduate degree preferred. English and Spanish fluency is required.
