As an IT Consultant - Software Engineer, you will design and develop reusable APIs and web components that enhance customer experience and optimize quality and deployment practices. You will be part of an agile, cross-functional team, contributing to the entire development lifecycle from concept to deployment. This role offers the opportunity to share your technical knowledge, strengthen our engineering community, and pursue learning in new technologies and platforms. Due to client requirement, applicants must be willing and able to work on a w2 basis. Responsibilities: Design and Develop APIs:
Create reusable APIs and web components focusing on customer experience and quality. Collaborate in Agile Teams:
Work within an agile, cross-functional team to deliver high-quality software. Implement CI/CD Practices:
Use CI/CD tools to deploy changes rapidly while minimizing risk. Enhance Digital Capabilities:
Play a key role in delivering new and enhancing existing digital capabilities. Mentor and Share Knowledge:
Mentor junior team members and share technical expertise within the engineering community.
Experience Requirements:
Must Have Skills: Java Angular 12+ API development AWS CI/CD Nice to Have skills: Knowledge of databases Containerization Scrum/Kaban The Expertise and Skills You Bring
You have a passion for technology and can navigate your way across complex and rapidly-changing landscapes by staying on top of latest trends and thrive by sharing knowledge. Care about cycle time and use CI/CD practices, tools to rapidly deploy changes to customers while minimizing risk using practices like A/B tests, blue-green deployments, and feature toggles Stay on top of Algorithms, Data Structures and Design Patterns and love the challenge of building highly scalable systems that can support thousands of transactions/sec. Have a mindset of test first development and are experienced in modern test frameworks. We believe in testing and that quality is everyone's job. Are data-driven and can measure, collect and use data to make decisions. We understand the value of intuition and the need to balance decisions accordingly. Have strong communication skills and technical expertise to drive and participate in meaningful discussions. 5+ years of hands-on experience in software development. Hands-on experience with Service Oriented Architecture (SOA), building RESTful services, XML/JSON, and modern Application Servers. Proficient in Java, J2EE, Spring MVC, Spring Core, Python and JavaScript. Knowledge of web application development using Angular, NodeJS, React, HTML, CSS/SASS and ExpressJS Deep understanding of API design, including versioning, isolation and micro-services. Having GraphQL knowledge is a plus. Knowledge of cloud computing environments and applications (AWS, Azure). Experience in documenting APIs leveraging an API documentation framework like OpenAPI Experience with DevOps, Continuous Integration and Delivery tools like Jenkins, Maven, uDeploy, gitHub, NPM Knowledge in Container technologies (Docker and Kubernetes). Strong knowledge of developing highly scalable distributed systems using Open source technologies. Working knowledge of testing frameworks like Junit, Mockito, Spring Test, Cypress. Experience in Agile methodologies (Kanban, SCRUM) Knowledge of relational and NoSQL database management systems. Excellent collaboration skills to work with multiple teams in the organization globally. Strong team player and able to mentor junior team members.
