Brigham and Women's Rehabilitation Services Team is growing to expand services into our beautiful new 78 bed hospital wing. We are looking for accomplished occupational therapists to bring medical, orthopedic and ICU experience to our team. Join us as we identify best practice for servicing our extended Brigham community patients in the ER, post op, orthopedic, surgical and medical units. Participate in a teaching hospital program where the interdisciplinary team is respected and drives the daily work.

Looking for per diem hours presently which include early morning to 8:00 pm hours along with some occasional weekend hours. We are flexible to meet the right candidate's need.
Responsibilities include:
Providing compassionate, clinically expert care for all our patients. Performing evaluations and follow up care for orthopedic, medical, neurological, and surgical patients. High volume of Total Joint patients are seen day/evening of surgery. Work closely with other team members, providers and rest of rehab team to deliver timely, empathic care for all our patients. Utilizing state of the art testing and evaluation materials. Maintain complete, accurate documentation and medical records in the approved departmental and professional format of the Guidelines of the AOTA for Occupational Therapy Documentation, Department Policy and Procedures, Joint Commission Standards and Medicare. Works closely with the inpatient interdisciplinary team attending family meetings and rounds as needed. Treating inpatient units as needed. Opportunity for growth with new building and an additional 78 beds being added.

Qualifications
Bachelor of Science in Occupational Therapy required. Current License in the State of Massachusetts as an OT or application for the same required and maintained. Current CPR certification required and maintained. AOTA/ASHT membership preferred. AOTA National Board Licensing. Masters Entry Level, or Advanced Masters in Occupational Therapy encouraged. CPR certification. Experience of 1-3 years. Epic experience a plus. Acute hospital experience preferred.
