Job Title:
Principal UX Designer Global Talent Management and Compensation (GTMC) owns Amazon’s talent programs and processes, and codifies these in intelligent products that enable Amazonians worldwide to build rewarding careers. GTMC’s UX team enables these products by researching our customer's talent needs, and crafting solutions into consumer-grade user experiences that Amazonians love to use. We’re looking for a Principal UX Designer to further accelerate our vision--to wake up every day obsessing about the employee experience at Amazon. In this role, you will share responsibility for crafting the vision for our next-generation product suite and leading the execution of that vision. You'll craft elegant design solutions across a range of personas and platforms, collaborate closely with product and engineering partners, and scale your solutions throughout Amazon's People and Experience Technology (PXT) organization. You will join and partner closely with a team of passionate designers and researchers to create products to address the sheer scale of HR at Amazon, while providing engaging, personal, and human experiences. To succeed in this role, you must be an innovative self-starter, a strategic big-picture thinker, and a dedicated collaborator. Key Responsibilities
Set UX vision for the organization and influence the strategic product roadmap. Own the design of end-to-end product experiences and features. Lead design through all phases of the product development lifecycle, from discovery to launch. Champion user-centered design culture. Drive creative process and collaboration with cross-functional partners to propose new ideas and strategies. Model behavior that exemplifies Amazon Leadership Principles in their team and raises the design bar for the organization. Provide coaching and feedback, with an emphasis on growing junior designers into future leaders. Create and drive adoption of design guidelines, mechanisms, best practices, process, and tools. Minimum Qualifications
10+ years of design experience Experience with best practices for User Interface Design, Information Architecture, and Interaction Design Experience in life cycle design projects from design strategy through execution Experience providing and effectively communicating strategic and tactical recommendations based on data Exemplary writing skills Amazon is committed to a diverse and inclusive workplace. here . Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $147,600/year in our lowest geographic market up to $244,000/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
