Position Summary
The Director of Brand Communications is responsible for developing and executing comprehensive communication strategies that enhance the organization's brand image, drive engagement, and foster brand loyalty. This senior leadership role ensures alignment of all brand messaging across internal and external channels while supporting business objectives and organizational growth.
Key Responsibilities Strategic Leadership:
Develop and implement a cohesive brand communications strategy to ensure consistent messaging across all platforms. Collaborate with senior leadership to align brand communications with business goals, values, and mission. Monitor industry trends and competitive landscapes to ensure the brand remains innovative and relevant.
Brand Messaging and Storytelling:
Define the brand's voice, tone, and positioning across all media. Oversee the creation of compelling content, including press releases, speeches, presentations, blogs, and social media. Craft impactful narratives that resonate with diverse audiences, including customers, partners, and stakeholders.
Media and Public Relations:
Build and maintain strong relationships with media outlets, journalists, and influencers. Serve as the primary spokesperson for the organization when necessary. Manage crisis communication efforts, providing clear and timely messaging during challenging situations.
Internal Communications:
Partner with HR and other departments to ensure alignment of internal communications with the brand strategy. Develop programs to foster employee engagement and reinforce the company's values and culture.
Social Media
Oversee the creation, execution, and optimization of social media campaigns to enhance brand visibility and engagement. Analyze performance metrics to refine strategies, improve ROI, and drive growth on key platforms (e.g., Instagram, LinkedIn, Twitter, TikTok). Lead the social media team in curating content calendars, monitoring trends, and responding to audience interactions.
Performance Measurement and Reporting:
Set key performance indicators (KPIs) for communication initiatives. Analyze and report on the effectiveness of communication strategies and campaigns, adjusting tactics as needed to optimize results.
Team Leadership and Development:
Lead, mentor, and develop a team of communications professionals. Foster a collaborative and high-performance work environment.
Qualifications and Skills
Required: Bachelor's degree in Communications, Marketing, Public Relations, or a related field (Master's preferred) or equivalent experience. 8+ years of experience in brand communications, public relations, or corporate communications, with at least 3 years in a leadership role. Proven track record in developing and executing successful communication strategies. Exceptional written and verbal communication skills. Strong media relations and crisis management experience. Preferred:
Experience working in Consumer Electronics or Lifestyle Brands Proficiency in digital marketing, including social media and content marketing. Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and derive actionable insights. Key Competencies:
