fully on site Company Description: Fast growing construction/subcontractor receiving a ton of new business with new regulations and creating a focus on building long-term industry relationships. Scope: The Head of Accounting/Finance is responsible for the company’s GAAP oversight, prime liaise with banks & auditors, and should have the disposition to relish in process improvement or chart of accounts enhancement. Frequent communication with the VP of Operations, CEO, and VP of Sales. Come operate in this high performing, cohesive and business-focused Finance organization. Must Haves: Subcontractor experience required Understand self-performed labor Prevailing wage Companies doing 100+ projects a year WIP experience Lead Audits In a VP Finance/CFO role for 3+ years Someone who has helped a company scale Bachelor's degree in accounting or Finance required. MBA highly desired. CPA preferred 10+ years of accounting/finance experience required. Preferred experience a combination of public accounting and private industry experience, startup environment a plus Other Experience Background: Experience with accounting issues around multiple legal entities, consolidations, intercompany transactions Advanced level Excel skills required Ability to be adaptable to change with a positive and energetic attitude Solid organizational skills with the ability to prioritize Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with strong attention to detail Ability to handle multiple projects and manage multiple deadlines effectively Research and apply GAAP Knowledge of

is highly preferred Create, establish, revise, adapt and enforce Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) for all accounting functions Prepare all financial reports, including income statements, balance sheets, reports to shareholders, tax returns, and reports for government regulatory agencies Ensure that accounting and financial policies and practices comply with GAAP and other governing organizations Develop and maintain the company's quarterly and annual financial budget Maintain the Company's Work in Progress (WIP) report Prepare forecasting and other financial reporting for upper management Develop and maintain a system of internal controls Determine accountabilities; communicate and enforce values, policies, and procedures Reconcile accounts, including AP/AR, balance sheet, income, and bank statements Maintain timely and accurate account reconciliations Prepare monthly WIP reports and assist 3rd party administrators with preparing monthly and year-end financial statements Assist 3rd party CPA with tax preparation Daily cash management, including forecasting Oversee accounts payable, including payments and lien releases Oversee project contract administration and billings Oversee preparation and filing of quarterly and annual payroll reporting Oversee all subcontractor contract administration, including certified payroll Develop, manage and train accounting personnel as required Responsible for accounting software maintenance and setup Coordinate work relating to both internal and external audits in the periodic review of the company's financial records. Is further responsible for the implementation of agreed-upon recommendations related to areas of responsibility resulting from the audit findings Develop and maintain budgeting and forecasting reports, policies, and procedures Develop and report ad-hoc financial reports and analyses as required by managers Provide real-time accounting, reporting, and analysis, including maintaining and improving accounting and reporting systems Review journal entries and account reconciliations monthly. Record journal entries Support internal and external audits, including the entity's integrated audit and project-level audits, when required Identify areas of inefficiency in our strategy to reduce costs across the business Manage project costing and tracking for internal and external customers Manage invoicing for ongoing services provided and revenue recognition Assist with migration and integration of financial systems platforms and applications
