JOB DESCRIPTION
The Senior Vice President (SVP) of Distribution Business and Legal Affairs will serve as a key executive overseeing the business and legal aspects of the company's distribution operations. The Senior Vice President will be responsible for structuring, negotiating, and managing all contracts pertaining to the distribution of the company’s content, overseeing legal matters related to our affiliate relationships, and ensuring legal excellence in our distribution operations.
A SNAPSHOT OF YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES
Lead distribution lawyer for FOX Corporation, overseeing distribution of all content, including linear cable networks, FOX broadcast network, FAST channels, content licensing to streaming platforms, and distribution of FOX apps on streaming platforms.
Lead lawyer for broadcast affiliation relationships with station groups that distribute the FOX broadcast network.
Provide legal and strategic advice to Distribution team business executives.
Negotiate content distribution agreements with distributors of FOX content and manage compliance with such agreements.
Stay abreast of regulatory changes affecting content distribution.
Manage a team of multiple lawyers and paralegals.
WHAT YOU WILL NEED
15+ years of legal experience in media distribution, with a focus on affiliate distribution.
JD from an accredited law school and active bar membership.
Proven success in drafting and negotiating a wide range of distribution agreements.
Substantial knowledge of digital and traditional content distribution pipelines.
Extensive knowledge of the entertainment industry, with a particular focus on distribution channels and trends.
Demonstrated knowledge of the legal and regulatory landscape related to affiliate distribution, including FCC regulations.
Demonstrated ability to work under pressure, meet tight deadlines, and manage multiple priorities independently.
Expertise in contract law, with a superb track record in negotiating complex agreements.
Strong leadership skills and the ability to manage and mentor a team.
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and negotiation skills.
Familiarity with digital distribution methods and evolving distribution technologies.

Pursuant to state and local pay disclosure requirements, the pay range for this role, with final offer amount dependent on education, skills, experience, and location, is: $321,500.00-440,000.00 annually for California. This role is also eligible for an annual discretionary bonus, various benefits, including medical/dental/vision, insurance, a 401(k) plan, paid time off, and other benefits in accordance with applicable plan documents.
