The City of Berkeley invites you to apply for the position of Applications Programmer/Analyst I in the Department of Information Technology! In this entry-level role, you will have the opportunity to perform applications systems design and programming while growing your skills in systems analysis. You'll support administrative and business services across the City by developing and modifying automated systems to fulfill user needs. A typical way of gaining the knowledge, skills, and abilities for this position is: Equivalent to graduation from a four-year college with major coursework in computer science, mathematics, business administration or a closely related field. Experience in computer operations, data entry or control which has required mastery of programming languages for business applications may be substituted for the education on a year-for-year basis.
