Nutiva is looking for an experienced leader to supervise production and packaging operations in a food manufacturing plant. The successful candidate has process management experience and food manufacturing equipment knowledge. POSITION SUMMARY

The Production Supervisor is responsible for supervising and directing the daily activities of the packing and production facility. Reporting to the Production Manager, this role works directly with the production leads and operators, and is instrumental in developing a high-energy, high-output and overall effective packaging department for the Company. These values guide our team in representing Nutiva to our associates, vendors, and customers. MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES

SUPERVISORY

Supervise day-to-day operations of the Production/Packaging departments. Lead, coach, enforce, empower and direct hourly manufacturing team members to perform and achieve in line with Company values and department goals. Guide team members so they understand and follow Standard Operating Procedures, SQF, GMPs, HACCP and facility regulatory standards. Interpret and enforce company policies, procedures and expectations.

PRODUCTION PERFORMANCE

Make daily decisions on staffing requirements, work procedures, or duty assignments, considering budgetary objectives. Monitor production inputs and outputs to minimize product loss, material loss and ensure the plant operates efficiently, safely, and meets all quality standards. Provide technical support/coaching to teach and train packaging operators to continually meet and exceed proficient packaging/bottling operations.

ACTIVITIES/DUTIES

Inspect products to verify conformance to specifications and direct setup and adjustments of machines. Study production schedules and estimate worker hour requirements for completion of job assignment. Interpret specifications and job orders to workers, and assign duties. Establish or adjust work procedures to meet production schedules. Recommend measures to improve production methods, equipment performance, and quality of product. Suggest changes in working conditions and use of equipment to increase efficiency of packaging facility, department, or work crew. Use continuous improvement tools to establish processes and procedures increasing productivity. Analyze and resolve or assist workers to solve work problems. Initiate or suggest plans to motivate workers to achieve work goals. Ensure completion and accuracy of all daily production reporting. QUALIFICATIONS

Red Zone experience preferred Excellent analytical skills Good trouble-shooter Understands budgets and forecasts to ensure production costs remain under budget EDUCATION/TRAINING REQUIRED

3-5 years of experience which includes supervisory responsibility in a food manufacturing environment Process management experience in continuous improvement, root cause analysis, etc. Liquid Bottling and/or Dry Packaging line experience Food manufacturing equipment knowledge necessary
