SELECTION:
The position is filled by the Board of Education on recommendation of the Superintendent of Schools.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Applicant must possess a high school diploma or GED and must complete all state requirements for a bus operator.
Salary-
Salary based on experience and education level per TCBOE salary schedule plus competitive benefits package equal to approximately 35% of direct compensation. GENERAL RESPONSIBILITES AND GOALS:
Employees in this classification are responsible for the safe and timely transportation of students attending Taylor County Public Schools.
JOB DESCRIPTION: AM Run: Depart Home/Garage, Kelley Hill Road, Hovatter Road, Chirstiana Street, Skyview Lane, Main Street, AJES, TCMS, GHS, Park Bus
PM Run: Depart Home/Garage, AJES, Walter Street, Christiana Street, Adolphus Street, TCMS, GHS, Main Street, Hovatter Road, Cadillac Ranch, Hovatter Road, Kelley Hill Road, Park Bus
PERFORMANCE STANDARDS/INDICATORS: Obey all traffic laws Observes all mandatory safety regulations for school buses Maintains discipline when students are on the bus Keeps assigned bus clean Keeps to assigned schedule Checks bus before each operation for mechanical defects Notifies the proper authority in case of mechanical failure or lateness Discharges students only at authorized stops Exercises responsible leadership when on extra-curricular school trips Transports only authorized students Reports all accidents and completes required reports Enforces regulations agains smoking and eating on the bus Uses tire chains when roads are icy;must be able to put chains on own bus Performs other such tasks and assumes other responsibilities as the superintendent or immediate supervison my assign.
