Job Summary
The Technical Team Lead/Senior IT Systems Administrator will oversee a growing team of 3+ Network and Systems Engineers and Administrators. This is a hands-on role, focusing on configuring, managing, and administering Microsoft-based computer systems, Fortinet networks, firewalls, and VMware environments. The team will revamp the technology environment, and this role includes participation in design reviews to mitigate technical risks.
Key Responsibilities
•Lead a team of 3+ Network and Systems Engineers and Administrators.
•Maintain system software, including upgrades, patches, hot fixes, and security configurations.
•Install and manage Windows Server (2012R2-2019), IIS, SQL, Active Directory, VMware, Hyper-V, Office365, and Exchange.
•Implement security tools, policies, and procedures in collaboration with the security team.
•Configure and administer system and application security and access controls using Microsoft and Azure Active Directory.
•Monitor and maintain system infrastructure to ensure availability and reliability.
•Conduct system resource utilization, capacity planning, and performance monitoring.
•Oversee backup, redundancy strategies, and recovery processes (BCP, DR, CR).
•Assist end-users with endpoint administration and troubleshooting.
•Administer network switches, firewalls, and Fortinet devices.
•Install and configure network equipment to resolve hardware/software issues.
•Monitor and optimize network performance for CAN, WAN, and LAN environments.
•Design, deploy, and manage wireless infrastructure and supporting systems.
•Provide technical support for network environments, including planning, implementation, and troubleshooting.
Required Qualifications
•Minimum 8+ years of experience in Microsoft System Administration, Network Engineering, Fortinet, technical operations, and troubleshooting.
•2+ years of technical team leadership experience overseeing teams of 3+ Network and Systems Administrators.
•Hands-on experience with system monitoring tools and network diagnostics.
•University degree in Computer Science or a related field or equivalent experience.
Preferred Qualifications
•Recognized certifications such as CompTIA, MCTS, MCSE, or OCA with specializations in Windows Server, SQL Server, or Server Virtualization.
