We're seeking a creative and detail-oriented Web Design Developer in Riverside, CA to join our dynamic team. This position will play a pivotal role in shaping our client's online presence, creating engaging, user-friendly web solutions that reflect our partner company's community-focused values.
Pay rate: $24.39 - $28.22/hr. Schedule: 1st shift, 8am - 5pm, Monday - Friday
Job Summary: Responsible for creating and managing responsive, ADA-compliant websites and digital content for the City of Riverside. This role focuses on designing user-friendly interfaces (UI), maintaining websites through the Drupal CMS, and collaborating with city departments to deliver exceptional user experiences (UX). The position requires a blend of technical development expertise and creative design skills, ensuring websites are both functional and visually appealing.
Qualifications:
Education: High School diploma or GED equivalent with 30 semester/45 quarter units in IT, Computer Science, Web Design, or related fields. A bachelor's degree in a related field can substitute for one year of experience. Experience: At least two years in consulting, designing, developing, and maintaining websites. Desired Qualifications: Front-End Development: Proficient in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, responsive design, and frameworks like Bootstrap or Tailwind CSS. CMS Proficiency: Skilled in Drupal and WordPress, including theme development and customization. User Experience (UX) and User Interface (UI) Design: Expertise in user research, wireframing, prototyping, accessibility (WCAG), and visual design principles such as typography and layout. Additional Skills: Knowledge of version control systems (e.g., Git), information architecture, and tools like Google Analytics 4 for tracking and optimizing web performance.

The base pay range above represents the low and high end of the base compensation range we reasonably expect to pay for this position. Actual base compensation will vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors including, but not limited to, geographic location, actual experience, and job performance.
