is hiring a Senior Director of People & Culture. This full-time, hybrid opportunity is based in our Burien administrative location.
Purpose: The Senior Director of People & Culture will support the development and execution of HR initiatives that align with the overall business goals of Northwest Kidney Centers (NKC). This role will focus on enhancing employee engagement, fostering a culture of equity and inclusion, and driving HR programs across the employee lifecycle. The Senior Director will partner with senior leaders to support an engaging, high-performance culture and develop key HR policies and practices.
Duties And Responsibilities Lead HR Programs and Initiatives: Oversee the development and implementation of HR policies and programs, ensuring they align with NKC's mission and culture. Employee Engagement and Relations: Assess and support initiatives that enhance employee engagement, particularly in high-turnover positions. Develop strategies for improving working relationships, morale, productivity, and retention. Talent Management and Development: Support talent management initiatives, including performance management and employee development programs. Partner with leaders to build a pipeline of talent to meet current and future organizational needs. Employee Relations and Investigations: Lead the team in handling employee relations issues and manage investigations to ensure fair, consistent, and thorough resolution of issues. HR Operations Management: Oversee HR operations, including the administration of employee lifecycle programs. Ensure HR policies are communicated effectively and remain compliant with legal and regulatory standards. Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion: Champion diversity, equity, and inclusion efforts by collaborating with leadership to develop and implement inclusive policies and practices. Recruitment and Talent Acquisition: Assist in the development of strategies for attracting, recruiting, and retaining talent, ensuring that the organization is staffed to meet its goals. Performance Metrics: Track and report on key HR metrics to inform strategy and demonstrate the impact of HR initiatives. Ensure alignment of HR metrics with organizational goals and objectives. Collaboration and Communication: Build and maintain collaborative relationships across departments. Foster open communication to ensure alignment on HR practices and promote a positive organizational culture. Compliance: Stay current on federal, state, and local employment laws to ensure organizational compliance and support in meeting regulatory requirements. Executive Communication and Influence: Excels in high-level communication, tailoring messages for diverse audiences, including the executive team, board members, and external stakeholders. Uses influence and negotiation skills to drive decisions and achieve alignment on key business initiatives. Enterprise Accountability and Decision-Making: Holds senior leadership teams accountable for driving key outcomes. Demonstrates advanced decision-making abilities by balancing strategic priorities with operational realities, fostering a culture of ownership and ensuring accountability at all levels. Education & Experience Bachelor’s degree in business, healthcare administration, human resources, or a related field; master’s degree preferred. 8+ years of HR leadership experience, with at least 3 years in a senior HR role. Experience in talent management, performance management, and employee engagement. Knowledge of federal, state, and local employment laws and demonstrated compliance experience. Proven experience in fostering a positive organizational culture and supporting DE&I initiatives. Ability to work collaboratively with senior leaders and manage change initiatives effectively. Professional HR certification (e.g., SHRM-SCP) is desirable.
