Overview
SOSi is seeking a Data Scientist supporting a government customer in Chantilly, VA and a familiarity with our Sponsor’s environment. The ideal candidate will have a background in AI/ML model development, have experience in Python programming, handling SQL databases, and comfortable working in command line interfaces. This role requires the ability to solve complex problems independently and collaboratively in a dynamic work environment. Strong communication skills are essential for translating technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders and delivering actionable insights.
Essential Job Duties
Develop and deploy data science solutions leveraging Python or similar languages.
Utilize Linux and Windows® OS for data processing and model deployment.
Work with Cyber data sources such as Shodan, Censys.IO, etc., for analysis and insights.
Clean, manage, optimize performance, and process large volumes of unstructured text data.
Prioritize tasks efficiently and adapt solutions to meet project requirements.
Collaborate effectively within diverse teams to achieve project goals.
Document processes and outcomes for transparency and future reference.
Minimum Requirements
TS/SCI w/Poly Government Security Clearance.
1-3 years of experience as a Data Scientist, with a STEM degree (field such as computer science, statistics, data analytics, computer engineering, mathematics, etc.).
Programming knowledge in Python or similar language.
Experience with both Linux and Windows® Operating Systems.
Experience working with Cyber data to include examples such as (Shodan, Censys.IO, etc.).
Demonstrated experience with cleaning, managing, optimizing performance with, and processing large volumes of unstructured text data.
