The Shirvanian Law Firm, APLC is a boutique personal injury litigation law firm representing injured people in pre-litigation and litigation motor vehicle accidents, premises liability, and wrongful death cases. We provide the highest quality legal representation to our clients throughout California, with headquarters located in Glendale.
We are hiring a Personal Injury Litigation Associate who will be primarily responsible for litigating cases from inception through resolution. You will negotiate pre-litigation settlements and handle all aspects of litigation, including filing lawsuits, conducting written and deposition discovery, expert depositions, law and motion, and trials.
Responsibilities:
Negotiate pre-litigation and litigation settlements against insurance companies and defense counsel
Litigate personal injury cases from the inception of filing complaints to resolution
Draft and propound discovery
Take and defend depositions
Draft pleadings and law and motion
Make court appearances
Conduct legal writing and research
Provide customer service to clients
Prepare pre-trial motions in limine; trial preparation; and chair trials
Review cases for settlement
Draft settlement demands
Correspond with insurance companies and defense counsel
Qualifications:
1-3 years of personal injury case handling experience
Licensed by the State Bar of California, in good standing
Excellent customer service and communication skills
Understanding of California civil procedure for State Court cases
Bilingual preference (Spanish and/or Armenian is a plus)

Schedule is full time, with on-call and weekend availability when needed. Must have reliable transportation and be a self-starter ready to handle cases under the supervision of the Firm's managing attorney.
Starting salary is dependent upon experience, with a discretionary bonus structure for settlements of Firm cases and generous referral fees for cases brought into the firm per State Bar Rules. Paid time off and vacation availability, along with a discretionary year-end bonus based on performance.
