LightFeather is currently seeking an experienced AWS Cloud Systems Engineer to join our dynamic IT team and contribute to the development and maintenance of our cutting-edge cloud infrastructure. You will be responsible for designing, implementing, and managing scalable, secure, and reliable cloud infrastructure solutions on AWS. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to support business applications, optimize cloud performance, and drive automation across our infrastructure. This is a Full Time, Remote Position. Responsibilities: Design and implement secure and scalable AWS cloud solutions, including EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, and other AWS services. Manage and monitor cloud resources to ensure high availability, performance, and cost-efficiency. Develop and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using tools such as Terraform, CloudFormation, or similar. Automate cloud operations and deployments using CI/CD pipelines and scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or PowerShell. Ensure compliance with security policies and implement best practices for cloud security, including IAM, VPC configurations, and data encryption. Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to cloud infrastructure, applications, and services. Collaborate with DevOps, software engineering, and security teams to align cloud solutions with business needs. Maintain comprehensive documentation for infrastructure design, configurations, and processes. Stay updated with the latest AWS services, tools, and trends, recommending improvements as appropriate. Required Qualifications and Skills: US Citizenship. Ability to obtain and maintain clearance at the Public Trust level or above. Active or prior clearance is preferred. Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field. 3 years of hands-on experience with AWS cloud services and solutions. Proficiency in designing and managing cloud infrastructure using tools like Terraform, CloudFormation, or Ansible. Strong scripting skills in Python, Bash, or PowerShell. Experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI, or AWS CodePipeline. In-depth knowledge of networking concepts, including VPC, DNS, VPN, and load balancers. Familiarity with monitoring and logging tools such as CloudWatch, Splunk, or Datadog. Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills. Preferred: AWS certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect, AWS Certified DevOps Engineer). Experience with containerization technologies like Docker and orchestration tools such as Kubernetes. Familiarity with hybrid cloud environments and integrations. Understanding of compliance frameworks (e.g., SOC 2, GDPR, HIPAA). Why Join LightFeather?
