Job Title: Systems Architect
Location: Fully Remote

TechSur Solutions is a digital services company whose mission is to enable digital transformation for our customers improving quality and efficiency. Based in the DC metropolitan area, TechSur specializes in advanced cloud services, modernization for both IT structures and applications, leveraging Agile development, and Data Analytics. Since we were formed in August of 2016, we have supported multiple impactful and exciting government programs.
Job Responsibilities • Establish system information requirements using analysis of the information engineer(s) in the development of enterprise-wide or large-scale information systems. • Design architecture to include the software, hardware, and communications to support the total requirements as well as provide for present and future cross-functional requirements and interfaces. • Ensure these systems are compatible and in compliance with the standards for open systems architectures, the Open Systems Interconnection (OSI) and ISO reference models, and profiles of standards - such as Institute of Electrical and Electronic Engineers (IEEE) Open Systems Environment (OSE) reference model - as they apply to the implementation and specification of information management solution of the application platform, across the Application Program Interface (API), and the external environment/software application. • Ensure that the common operating environment is compliant with the Agency enterprise architecture and applicable reference models. • Evaluate analytically and systematically problems of workflows, organization, and planning and develop appropriate corrective action. • Provide daily supervision and direction to staff
Required Skills/Work Experience • 5+ years of relative experience • Design the overall structure and configuration of IT systems, ensuring scalability, reliability, and security. • Develop detailed architectural blueprints that align with organizational goals. • Select and integrate appropriate technologies, platforms, and frameworks. • Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and analyze business and technical requirements. • Translate business needs into technical solutions. • Research and evaluate emerging technologies and industry trends. • Recommend tools, platforms, and methodologies to enhance system efficiency and performance. • Ensure seamless integration of new systems with existing infrastructure. • Address compatibility issues across hardware, software, and network systems. • Guide development teams, engineers, and other IT professionals during implementation. • Provide technical expertise and troubleshooting during the development lifecycle. • Create and maintain comprehensive documentation of system architecture, designs, and configurations. • Ensure documentation is accessible and updated as systems evolve. • Monitor and optimize system performance, reliability, and efficiency. • Identify and mitigate potential bottlenecks or vulnerabilities.
Education • Bachelor's degree in computer science, information science, or related field
