Overview: The Diag Rad and CT Technologist WEO is responsible for providing high-quality patient care during Computed Tomography (CT) procedures using approved workflows and procedural protocols. Working under direct supervision, this position uses specialized computerized x-ray equipment to produce cross sectional images of the human anatomy which aid radiologists in diagnosing a wide variety of diseases and disorders. This role has a weekend option, in which the staff member is required to commit to WEO requirements and work two shifts within the WEO window for a premium rate.
Responsibilities:
Operates head or body x-ray scanners which create a computer-generated cross-sectional image, commonly called a CAT (Computed Axial Tomography) Scan.
Performs routine and special CT exams adhering to established protocols to minimize additional imaging and limit radiation dose, maintaining exam productivity within established benchmarks.
Completes all exams and documentation in Computerized Health Information (CHL) and Picture Archiving and Communication System (PACS), accurately identifying all charges associated with studies and addressing errors for a seamless workflow.
Educates and prepares patients for their examinations to enhance patient understanding and cooperation during testing and promote a positive patient experience.
Demonstrates commitment to safe practices, Just Culture, and As Low As Reasonably Achievable (ALARA) principles to eliminate errors and enhance patient outcomes.
Performs other duties as assigned. Qualifications:
EDUCATION: Required:
High School Diploma or equivalent
Graduate of a Radiology, Imaging or related educational program

ARRT: RT(R)(CT), RT(N)(CT)
NMTCB: CNMT, NMTCB(CT)
Combination of ARRT RT(N) and NMTCB(CT) or CNMT and ARRT(CT)
Combination of ARRT RT(R) and NMTCB(CT) or ARRT RT(T) and NMTCB(CT)
BLS (CPR)-American Red Cross or AHA Healthcare Provider
