Description
The
System Administrator
will be responsible for managing and maintaining our global IT systems, ensuring their availability, performance, and security. The role involves working with a largely SaaS-based environment, leveraging Microsoft Entra (Azure AD), Microsoft 365, and Veeam backup solutions. This individual will also support IT operations for global branches, including local office setups, while ensuring a seamless experience for end-users.
• Tasked with the oversight and standardization of infrastructure and network systems across all international offices within IMI.
• Administer and maintain Microsoft 365 E5 licenses, including Exchange Online, SharePoint, Teams, and OneDrive. Maintaining computer networks, infrastructure, and systems, including software, servers, firewalls, routers, and other physical hardware in all offices.
• Serving as the primary point of contact for addressing and resolving IT-related desktop and helpdesk inquiries, ensuring timely and efficient assistance to enhance overall user experience.
• Provide first-level support for Meraki appliances, switches, wireless access points, and cameras, escalating as necessary.
• Manage Veeam backup solutions for Microsoft 365 mailboxes, Teams groups, OneDrive, and SharePoint sites.
• Perform regular updates, patching, and maintenance for systems in line with company security policies.
• Manage user accounts, groups, and permissions in Microsoft Entra (Azure AD) and ensure proper role-based access control (RBAC).
• Support onboarding and offboarding processes, including account creation, license assignment, and device setup.
• Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues to minimize downtime and improve efficiency.
• Maintain detailed documentation of system configurations, processes, and troubleshooting procedures.
• Propose and implement process improvements to enhance operational efficiency and end-user experience.
• Work closely with the Infrastructure Engineer on larger projects such as office buildouts, migrations, and system integrations.
• Coordinate with global IT outsource teams to provide consistent IT services across all sites.
Requirements
• Bachelor's degree in computer science, systems engineering, or network administration
• Cisco CCNA, Fortinet, Palo Alto, or Microsoft certifications.
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft 365, Azure AD, and SaaS-based environments.
• Experience with Veeam Backup for Microsoft 365 or similar solutions.
• Familiarity with Meraki network devices and cloud-based management platforms.
• Proficient in troubleshooting Windows and Mac operating systems.
PREFERRED SKILLS
• Knowledge of Intune for endpoint management.
• Experience with security best practices, including MFA and conditional access.
• Familiarity with scripting and automation tools such as PowerShell.
• Experience working in global IT environments with remote sites and outsourced IT vendors.
• Experience with firewalls, Internet VPN's remote implementation, troubleshooting, and problem resolution is desired.
• Proven public cloud environnements experience. Microsoft Azure know-how is desired.
• Ability to solve problems and think critically.
