Textile Manufacturing/Process Engineer for Pantone LLC in Carlstadt, NJ to determine the optimal manufacturing methods and processes for producing company products from start-up, building the product line, through satisfactory production. This includes analyzing engineering design documents to establish manufacturing methods and processes to manufacture a component, creating conceptual sketches and initiating the design and building of required tooling. Determine outside vendor services needed for the manufacture of a component. Establish outsourced vendor manufacturing & quality plans. Develop, implement, and maintain methods, operation sequence, and processes in the Dyeing house and textile operations. Analyze and trouble shoot product yield and quality issues. Connect with multiple disciplines to resolve problems. Work on problems of diverse scope where analysis of situations or data requires a review of identifiable factors leading to root cause and irreversible corrective action. Exercise judgment within defined practices and procedures to resolve appropriate action. Make recommendations for equipment, tools, and process requirements of new or existing product lines. Maintain records and reporting systems for coordination of manufacturing operations. Build, review and approve Manufacturing Operations Sheets (MOS) to ensure Quality and manufacturability of products are maintained. Review efficiency and resolve time standards with production/operations as well as design engineering to improve efficiency. Assist Operations, Engineering, Quality, and allied functions during product development, creating labor and material standards, and work instructions to better understand the new product. Ensure the departments remain compliance for all operations, methods, tooling, processes, work instructions, test equipment and training. Education Required: Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical/Industrial Engineering, Textile Chemistry, or related Engineering field (willing to accept foreign education equivalent) plus one (1) year of experience as a Manufacturing/Process Engineer in continuous improvement environment. Experience must include: Manufacturing methods, procedures, test processes and cost reduction techniques; Project management and analysis, including statistical modeling, pareto sampling, and data automation through VBA; Statistical Process Control (SPC) and implementation of SPC or similar controls; Management and simplification of large sets of complex data; Lean Six Sigma/Toyota Production System; and Design of Experiment.
