The Chief Children’s Services, an executive leadership position, plans, directs, organizes, coordinates, and evaluates Countywide children and youth policies and programs, services, and initiatives aimed at improving the health and well-being of all children. This position will work to develop, support, and advocate for transformational policies and system wide changes that support and strengthen coordinated early intervention and prevention practices, as well as trauma informed care, so that children have every opportunity to lead healthy productive lives. This position will serve as the catalyst for a solutions-oriented, multi-disciplinary approaches to improving the lives of children and their families.

The ideal candidate will be a committed, innovative leader with excellent interpersonal skills. Successful candidates will be effective in fostering strong collaborations both within and outside of the agency. Child Policy experience and program management are essential to this role. Candidates must be able to plan and implement new programs as well as evaluate current programs to meet changing needs of clients. The ideal candidate will be able to collaborate with diverse staff and community leaders in a collegial manner by creating a supportive work environment that embraces continuous improvement.
