FAR 135/91 General Manager/COO – Ft. Lauderdale, FL

Job Summary:

FAR 135/91 in Ft. Lauderdale, FL is looking for an experienced Private Aviation operations leader to manage their day-to-day organizational and management responsibilities.

Responsibilities:

• The GM/COO is responsible for the operational leadership of the company to include: Sales, Flight Operations, Employee Management, Aircraft Management, Aircraft Maintenance and company financial management.
• Responsible for the management of company’s Profit & Loss.
• Forecast/report trends in company performance and implement best practices for company sustainment and growth.
• Assist/guide both the Sales Department and the Director of Operations as required with strategic direction, charter team leadership, charter service availabilities and capabilities, scheduled/unscheduled aircraft maintenance, etc.
• Liaison with customers/clients to define scope of travel needs, expectations and maintain positive relationships to ensure repeat business/growth.
• Serve as the face of the company to FAA, DOT, TSA, and other regulatory authorities as necessary.
• Team selection, to include technical and administrative personnel.
• Vendor services negotiation and approval oversight.

Requirements:

• 2-3 years of experience as a FAR 135 CEO, General Manager, DO/Assistant DO or Chief Pilot/Assistant Chief Pilot.
• PREFERRED: Successful working relationship with FSDO-19.
• Team player – able to bring entire organization together to effectively meet company objectives while providing safe and satisfactory customer experience.
• Successful leadership traits to include: Proven self-starter, exceptional interpersonal skills, energetic personality, persistent problem solving skills, entrepreneurial mindset and high initiative character.
