Manager of Fundraising and Events Full-Time Benefits Offered by Employer *Salary dependent upon experience, with growth opportunities. In partnership with schools, and at our two Center locations, we focus on the development of the whole girl. She learns to value herself, take risks, and discover and develop her inherent strengths. * Overview of Position: * The Manager of Fundraising and Events is responsible for developing and implementing strategies to achieve the philanthropic fund development goals of Girls Inc. of Bay County (GIBC) while keeping with established ethical standards, policies, and guidelines. The Manager of Fundraising and Events primary responsibility is to identify, cultivate, and maintain individual donors, corporate and foundation sponsors, and ongoing financial supporters. The Manager of Fundraising and Events will also manage fundraising events, while cultivating and supporting other activities related to our organizations overall funding streams. The Manager of Fundraising and Events is dynamic, creative, ever-positive, and well organized, always focusing on helping our mission-driven nonprofit thrive and grow. This position plays a critical role in the fundraising and donor stewardship for GIBC. * Primary Responsibilities: * Fundraising. Aggressively seeks to identify new individual donors, foundation and corporate sponsors Implements a strong donor stewardship plan to maintain and grow relationships with current and past donors Proficiency in using databases and software tools for tracking donations and managing donor relationships. Coordination and active engagement with all special events and community outreach opportunities Support GIBC special events by garnering sponsorships, participants, in-kind donations, etc.; secure corporate sponsorships and in-kind donations to support GIBC functions at every available opportunity Cultivates, coordinates, appreciates community volunteers, working in tandem to support successful events and activities Manages social media, website and marketing efforts to promote the Girls Inc. brand for donor cultivation and community awareness Participates in establishing fund development policies, procedures, plans, goals, and budgets, working in alignment with volunteer committee chair (s) Participates in fund development calls, webinars, and other collaborative opportunities with Girls Inc. national office. Continue to expand our positive presence in the community to increase the organizations visibility, including but not limited to serving as brand ambassador at community events, with ongoing community outreach and direct engagement Cultivate community support for Girls Inc. of Bay County by maintaining contacts with local civic organizations, businesses and individuals to identify qualified donor leads Continuously and positively lift-up volunteers, while cultivating donor and volunteer appreciation processes * Secondary Responsibilities: * Represents organization on such committees or boards as requested by the Executive Director; participates in inter-agency collaboration. Assists with the identification of and occasional co-writing of grants, as requested by the Executive Director Leads the planning and execution of fundraising events Stays current with all available market research and advises management on community issues, donor trends and any other factors that may influence the effective positioning of GIBC Participates in staff meetings to share ideas and concerns, and work collaboratively with other staff to meet goals and achieve staff performance objective , while also being self-motivated Experience in strategic planning to develop effective fundraising campaigns Participates in periodic assessment of own performance and develops own goals and objectives. Attends special events as requested by the Executive Director. All other duties as assigned * Qualifications and Experience: * Bachelors degree in related field Minimum of 5 years of nonprofit and/or charitable fundraising experience Must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills Professional level marketing, sales, and/or public relations background a plus Exceptional understanding of philanthropy as it relates to non-profit organizations and a wide and deep knowledge of fundamental disciplines of resource development 3+ years creation, management and implementation of events * Must be able to communicate well with groups and individuals.
