Elastic Stack Security Engineer

Responsibilities:

1. Strong knowledge of ELK stack
2. Experience in JavaScript and HTML
3. Designing, building, deploying, maintaining, and enhancing ELK platform
4. Installing and configuring ELK on VMware, Open Stack
5. Using Elastic search Indices, Elastic search APIs, Kibana Dashboards, Log stash and Log Beats
6. Using or creating plug-ins for ELK like authentication and authorization plug-ins
7. Enhancing Open-source ELK for custom capabilities
8. Integrating ELK with enterprise tools and APIs, such as for authentication and authorization
9. Capacity planning of Elastic Search Cluster
10. Designing and implementing complex development use cases and scenarios using programming languages such as Python, Java, and Go, Lang.
11. Using Elastic Search Cluster Monitoring Tools (Marvel)
12. Knowledge of scripting languages like JavaScript, Python, PowerShell, etc.

Qualifications:

1. Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or other related discipline
2. 5 years of related experience and/or training

Required Skills/Experiences:

1. Security Experience
2. Experience with hands-on development, configuration, deployment, integration, or maintenance of systems using technologies that include Elasticsearch, Kibana, Logstash, beats, Kafka, or Splunk
3. Experience as an Elastic Engineer
4. Experience with CyberArk engineering
5. Knowledge of planning and executing data retention and life cycle management plan
6. Experience with Linux configuration and administration

Must be a U.S. Citizen and the ability to obtain a Public Trust. Work location will be at Government site in Washington, DC.
