About the Role
As GameStop continues to innovate and expand its digital footprint, we are seeking a seasoned Senior Ecommerce Product Manager to lead critical initiatives on GameStop.com. This role is pivotal in owning and optimizing the post-purchase experience, including the management of back-end systems such as Order Management Systems (OMS) and Product Information Management (PIM) platforms. You will drive efficiency and scalability across backend processes, ensuring a seamless customer journey from order confirmation through fulfillment. Collaborating with cross-functional teams, you’ll execute a dynamic product roadmap, support revenue growth, and provide technical guidance to align with business goals.
Key Responsibilities
- Post-Purchase Optimization:
- Own and enhance the post-purchase experience, including order confirmation, fulfillment tracking, post-purchase communications, and customer support workflows.
- Ensure seamless integration and performance of OMS and PIM systems to support business operations.
- Strategic Product Management:
- Develop and execute a forward-looking product strategy for backend ecommerce processes, focusing on operational efficiency and customer satisfaction.
- Identify opportunities to enhance backend workflows, scalability, and system performance.
- Lifecycle Management:
- Oversee the end-to-end lifecycle of backend product features, from ideation through execution.
- Collaborate with engineering, operations, and other teams to deliver high-quality solutions aligned with business objectives.
- Data-Driven Insights:
- Utilize data analytics and key performance indicators (KPIs) to monitor and refine post-purchase processes.
- Conduct A/B testing to evaluate feature enhancements and improve operational workflows.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration:
- Partner with teams across merchandising, marketing, technology, and operations to ensure alignment of technology solutions with broader business goals.
- Proactively identify and address gaps and opportunities within processes and systems.
- Technical Guidance:
- Act as a technical advisor, leveraging expertise to recommend scalable, sustainable solutions while navigating trade-offs.
- Provide feedback on technical feasibility and push back on impractical requests when needed.
- Market Awareness:
- Stay current with ecommerce trends, emerging technologies, and competitor advancements to inform the product roadmap and strategy.
Qualifications
- Educational Background:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Experience:
- 5+ years of product management experience, preferably within ecommerce, with a strong focus on backend systems and post-purchase processes.
- Expertise with Order Management Systems (OMS) (e.g., IBM Sterling preferred) and PIM platforms.
- Proven track record in optimizing backend ecommerce systems to enhance operational efficiency and customer experience.
- Skills:
- Strong analytical mindset with experience in leveraging data to drive decision-making.
- Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies and product management tools such as JIRA and Confluence.
- Exceptional collaboration and communication skills, with a demonstrated ability to influence cross-functional teams and senior stakeholders.
- Technical acumen to bridge business and technology, ensuring sustainable solutions.
- Experience with A/B testing, UX/UI principles, and SEO is a plus.
- Passion for Gaming:
- Enthusiasm for gaming and familiarity with the gaming industry are considered advantages.
