We inject it into all we do because it makes everything better, smarter, more fun, and more memorable. Our company culture defines us, bonds us together, and creates the conditions for success. It is lived daily as a behavioral expression of our collective set of brand values: Serve People, Lead Thought, Play as a Team, Compete Every Day, Demonstrate Integrity, Have Fun, and Be Active. If you’re on our team, it means you’re part of creating something extraordinary. You’re part of Brooks.

Your Job:

Brooks extensively leverages third-parties to deliver business applications as Software-as-a-Service and employs public and private cloud technologies for its infrastructure – we don’t have a data center; we don’t buy servers or storage. Your challenge is to integrate our growing portfolio of applications to create a holistic ecosystem that maximizes business value across our global operations. The integrations will touch all of our critical business systems including ERP, warehouse management, CRM, eCommerce, PLM, enterprise data warehouse, and master data. Our objective is to maximize the value of the technology that we already own and incrementally introduce new to meet evolving needs.

As a key member of the IT leadership team, you will report directly to the VP, Global Information Technology. Collaboration with application and infrastructure leaders will be critical to your success. You will also manage our business-to-business integration with customers, suppliers, and third-party service providers across the enterprise. We’re a flexible team and we believe architects need to stay grounded and up-to-date on technology, so expect to get your hands dirty with some coding, implementation, and support work.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Plan, coordinate, architect, and supervise all activities related to the integration of software programs, applications, data, and third-party solutions as required to meet Brooks’ business requirements.
  • Maintain in-depth knowledge of company’s global strategic business plans and apply technologies in support of these plans.
  • Develop a working knowledge of integration technologies currently in use at Brooks including Microservices, Infor MEC, Infor ION, and Microsoft SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS).
  • Monitor the industry for technologies that may be applicable in the future. Assess new integration technologies and tools to fulfill unmet needs.
  • Develop and maintain an application integration architecture blueprint for Brooks using a holistic integration approach focused on reducing tactical/one-off solutions.
  • Identify the application and data integrations patterns that need to be supported, and specify the preferred technology solutions for them. Document logical components, physical systems, and data flows.
  • Champion the architectural competency at Brooks.
  • Own the definition of integration standards, principles, policies, and the escalation process for proposed exceptions. Influence decision-makers to adopt integration strategy and standards.
  • Develop strong working relationships with all IT staff to be able to assist and receive assistance in meeting critical and often urgent deadlines.
  • Work with stakeholders to identify detailed implementation plans and set appropriate and realistic timelines for system integration projects and work efforts.
  • Work closely with vendors providing outsourced services to design solutions and resolve problems.
  • Maintain system documentation for all integration activities including business purpose, technology used, frequency, alert monitoring activities, and problem resolution steps.
  • Track and report integration failures providing root cause analysis to assist with ongoing process optimization.
  • Research, diagnose, and resolve complex technology problems.
  • Communicate with clarity and appropriate frequency about progress on troubleshooting efforts and root cause analysis.
  • Work with IT engineering teams on recommendations for maintaining and improving system and network performance, capacity, and availability during analysis, design, implementation, system backup, and archiving activities.
  • Ensure that proper security functions are adhered to in the appropriation of user access and decommissioning activities.
  • Adhere to SDLC and ITIL-based IT Service Management processes in ServiceNow for incident, change, and problem management, maintaining a stable environment across dev, test, and production systems.

Qualifications:
