How will you CONTRIBUTE and GROW?
Reporting to the Manager, Electrical Engineering this EE PE role is responsible for supporting the America's project development team by providing electrical engineering scope development, engineering labor estimate, engineering design requirements, engineering direction, review and equipment specifications. The role will also work with the internal and third party engineering centers to establish electrical calculation and project requirements for substations, plant power distribution equipment and systems, cable installations, conduit installations, cable tray installations, power distribution, lighting systems and grounding systems in addition to participation in Factory Acceptance Testing and providing construction and commissioning support.

- Ensure adherence to Air Liquide and industry standards, and all applicable federal, state and local codes
- Work with the E&C Project Development team to support scope development, electrical engineering labor and equipment estimate are included in the project development.
- Provide electrical preliminary design support to capital and service projects to include scope development, engineering labor estimate, design review and approval, equipment specification, fabrication and construction inspection.
- Work with the internal and third party engineering centers to support electrical calculation requirements for substations, plant power distribution equipment and systems, cable installations, conduit installations, cable tray installations, power distribution, lighting systems and grounding systems in accordance with industry standards and the latest versions of manufacturer software and sizing guidelines.
- Review and approval support of all electrical equipment and controls supplied by internal E&C centers, third party engineering companies, or mechanical vendors in conjunction with the electrical engineering group.
- Review and approval support of all vendor
electrical detail design, fabrication and control drawings in conjunction with
the electrical and controls engineering group when needed. - Participate in the Factory Acceptance Testing
(FAT) of the Power Distribution Centers (PDCs) and large electrical motors. - When required, provide direct supervision to
detail design and/or field construction contractors. - Provide technical assistance to maintenance and
operating facilities to resolve electrical operational or performance issues; including troubleshooting assistance, coordination with vendors and / or coordination with third party engineering companies while adhering to the corporate MOC policy. - Maintain project Work Breakdown System (WBS) for estimating when requested.
- BS degree in Electrical Engineering
- Professional Engineer license required
- Minimum of 7 years experience in successful
electrical engineering, electrical design, and technical support experience in an Industrial operating environment or in an engineering and construction environment. - Competentcy in cryogenic air separation process technology, knowledgeable in HYCO and SMR technologies
- Working knowledge of all aspects of electrical
application and design as related to industrial application in accordance with industry standards per the National Electrical Code (NEC), International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC), American National Standards Institute (ANSI), etc. - Ability to interpret and understand P&IDs,
to gather information for power calculations and studies for large and small plants, to create electrical one lines use for estimating, power user of SKM tools or ETAP for power demand, motor starting, short circuit, coordination and arc flash studies. - Ability to support interface with local utility
companies and strategize the most cost efficient energy solutions for new and old plant installations. - Ability to work with the company estimating,
Product, Project and Plant Project groups creating estimates for new facilities and existing. - Ability to gather and assemble equipment costs
for electrical equipment, transformers, switchgear buildings, MCC, and substation apparatus.
