Executive Project Manager - Discretionary Entitlements Division

Crest is a Real Estate Land Use Entitlements and Expediting firm seeking an experienced land use and entitlements expert to oversee a diverse portfolio of discretionary entitlements. We work on the permitting and entitlements for major real estate development projects in Los Angeles, Beverly Hills, Santa Monica, Malibu, West Hollywood, and the surrounding areas.

The primary job duties involve zoning and building code research and interpretations, preparation of case filings including findings, project strategy leadership, public hearing presentations, neighbor coordination, and client management and interactions. Qualified candidates for this position must have a degree in architecture, urban planning, engineering, or a related field, and at least seven years of prior experience working on discretionary entitlements.

Our firm believes in putting our team members in positions of individual influence over development projects. You will be leading the charge as a true project manager. We are looking for driven candidates who are confident in a leadership role and interested in the nuances of the zoning code and the design process.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Five plus years of experience in discretionary entitlements in the City of Los Angeles
  • Knowledge of city permitting & entitlements processes
  • Ability to present at public hearings and experience handling appeal cases
  • Ability to read and understand construction plans
  • Understanding of how to read municipal codes
  • Strong writing and organizational skills
  • Degree in architecture, engineering, urban planning, or related study

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $100,000.00 - $140,000.00 per year
