Toxic Tort Attorney

Our client is a highly respected law firm known for delivering exceptional legal services to its clients in California. The firm is currently seeking a skilled and driven Associate Attorney to join their Toxic Tort Practice Group remotely. This is a unique opportunity for an experienced attorney to further their career in a collaborative and forward-thinking legal environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Independently manage a caseload of toxic tort and product liability defense matters.
  • Handle all aspects of civil litigation, including conducting discovery, drafting and reviewing pleadings, motions, and other legal documents.
  • Prepare and argue motions, take lead on depositions, and work closely with experts.
  • Prepare cases for trial and participate in trial proceedings.
  • Provide strategic legal counsel and advocacy on behalf of clients.
  • Supervise and mentor junior associates on complex litigation matters.
  • Collaborate with senior attorneys on case strategy and planning.
Qualifications:
  • Minimum 8+ years of experience in civil litigation defense, with experience handling the defense of toxic tort/product liability cases
  • Significant experience managing cases and leading the defense of toxic tort matters where plaintiffs allege disease or death due to chemical/toxin exposure.
  • Must be Bar licensed in California, in good standing
  • Proven ability to lead case teams, manage discovery, and prepare cases for trial (trial experience is a plus)
  • Ability to work remotely with excellent self-management skills
