Assembler for 2nd shift Assembly

This position reports to
Production Supervisor
Your role and responsibilitiesSafely complete tasks and participate in team safety programs
Position parts according to unit being assembled or follow blueprint
Fastens parts together with bolts, washers, screws, speed, clips, rivets, or other fas-teners
Removes small quantities of metal with hand files and scrapers to produce close fit between parts
Operate hand tools, small presses, punch presses, or riveting machines to assist in assembly operation
Hand packs and seals assembled fittings and parts into containers for shipping
Other duties as assigned.
This position works 10 hour shifts Monday - Thursday, with OT as needed to meet customer demand.
- High School or equivalent
- Able to read 2 or 3 syllable words and recognize similarities/differences between words and/or numbers
- Able to print
- One to three months related experience/training or combination
- Able to add, subtract 2 digit numbers and multiply/divide by 10 or 100 accurately
- Able to understand U.S. currency, weight measurement, volume, and distance
- Able to understand/perform detailed written/verbal instruction
- Able to maintain accuracy with variable in standardized situation
- Candidates must already have a work authorization that would permit them to work for ABB in the US
