Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems is looking to add a Senior Principal Electronics Engineer – Hardware Lead to join our team in Rancho Bernando, CA. This position will be in our Avionics Integration Organization.

Duties and Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Leading and developing a team of hardware and infrastructure engineers through technology development, execution, integration, and deployment.
  • Leading technical discussions in datacenter and IT system infrastructure development while working with software development and other stakeholders.
  • Management of Infrastructure Jira project, executing scrums, sprint plans, and priority deconfliction.
  • Technical breadth across technology stack in the datacenter/IT system.
  • Staffing management and content delivery plan between multiple business areas.
  • Planning out release content across multiple IFCs based on program milestones with technical content.
  • Working with Product Owner to groom backlog, prioritize content, and execute work based on milestones and technical needs.

The selected candidate will be required to work full-time, on-site at our facility. This role requires the ability to travel up to 10% of the time.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics) discipline and 8 years of related engineering experience; OR a Master’s degree in a STEM discipline and 6 years of related engineering experience; OR a PhD in a STEM discipline with 3 years of related engineering experience.
  • Experience with systems engineering practices.
  • Experience with Microsoft Visio and other Office products to express engineering documentation.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain initial Special Program Access (SAP/PAR).

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Current Special Program Access.
  • Experience as lead, functional, and/or Cost Account Manager.
  • Knowledge of Cisco UCS Compute, NetApp ONTAP/StorageGrid, Cisco Nexus Networks, VMware virtualization (vSphere, NSX-T, Horizon, vRealize, and vCloud Foundation).
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interface with all levels of employees and management.
Salary Range: $133,000 - $199,600

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills, and current market conditions.
