What You Will Be Doing

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced customer-facing Solution Architect within the Media and Entertainment industry responsible for designing and implementing technology solutions that meet the unique needs of traditional as well as digital media companies. The role requires deep understanding of the industry’s key workflows, including content creation, media management, live production, playout and distribution, as well as monetization. This individual will have experience working across broadcast, studio, digital, sports and gaming market segments.

The architect will work closely with internal and external stakeholders to ensure that solutions align with business objectives and provide a seamless experience. The ideal candidate will help with hands-on architecture on customer projects involving cloud services and marketplace technologies. The Architect will build and publish content and collateral and present it to customers in a 1:1 and 1:many settings. They will work with customers remotely and in person.

This role is pivotal to our continued growth in this sector in both the pre-sales and post-sales phases, as well as in driving our product strategy from a market perspective.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Solution Design & Implementation
    • Design scalable and reliable solutions for content production, media management, distribution and consumption.
    • Implement cloud-based workflows to enable content consumption from ideation to distribution.
    • Ensure solutions comply with industry standards and best practices.
    • Conduct product demos outlining product benefits and mapping them to customers' workflow.
  2. Stakeholder Collaboration
    • Work with cross functional teams to analyze requirements and convert business requirements into tech solutions.
    • Communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  3. Technology Evaluations & Integrations
    • Evaluate emerging technologies to enhance media workflows and improve efficiency.
    • Build integration strategy to emerge new technologies into existing product framework with minimal disruption.
  4. Delivery & Execution
    • Lead implementation plan and strategy, ensuring alignment with customers and their requirements.
    • Conduct training sessions and workshops for customers on implemented systems, focusing on live production workflows.
    • Provide ongoing support and troubleshooting to ensure the sustained success of delivered solutions in live TV production environments.
  5. Performance Optimization & Compliance
    • Optimize workflows to improve operations efficiency and reduce architecture complexities.
    • Ensure compliance with data protection regulations and industry standards.

Qualifications

  1. Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
  2. Minimum of 5 years of experience in a solution architect role, preferably within the Digital Distribution, Media Supply Chain, Live TV production and Sports technology sector.
  3. 5+ years of experience working with integrated content ingest, library, enhancement, and delivery workflows including knowledge of content production, direct-to-consumer, FAST, analytics, MAM, content lakes, and content metadata.
  4. 5+ years of experience in technology architecture roles within large enterprise media or technology organizations, with a focus on media supply chain, content distribution and live production workflows.
  5. Strong understanding of live production and sports workflows, broadcast systems and technologies.
  6. Proven experience in pre-sales and post-sales roles, with a track record of successful project delivery for end to end content supply chain.
  7. Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders and vice versa.
  8. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure to meet the demanding schedules of the evolving media & entertainment landscape.
  9. Strong experience in cloud and SaaS technologies.
  10. Willingness to travel as required to meet with clients and support project delivery.

Skills

  1. Experience with live broadcasting systems, media asset management, and real-time content distribution.
  2. Knowledge of cloud-based solutions and services for live TV production.
  3. Familiarity with software development methodologies and tools relevant to live TV production, FAST Distribution.
  4. Certifications in relevant technologies or methodologies (e.g., AWS, TOGAF, Live Production Technologies).
  5. Breadth of experience across IT and/or practical M&E industry experience in multiple of the following areas: Software design or development; Infrastructure architecture; Distributed systems; Content/Data Security; Data Center Operations; Artificial Intelligence/Machine Learning and Big Data Analytics.
  6. Prior hands-on experience and deep knowledge of cloud architectures.
  7. Expert level technical acumen, including the ability to understand the customer and partner landscape, identify opportunities and overcome technical obstacles.
  8. Expert level ability to understand the business domain of the customer or partner and the business problems the customer is facing, with the intent to solve the business problems.
  9. Expert level ability to interact with senior leadership (e.g. CxO’s) within a customer or technology organization.

The expected annual pay range for this position is $175K-$190K + Bonus. Please note that final offer amount will be dependent on geographic location, applicable experience and skillset of the candidate.
