Innovative leading medical manufacturer is looking for a seasoned finance professional to contribute to their financial stability and growth. You will be at the forefront of the implementation of process improvement and communications to ensure financials and costing are done accurately and on time. This is a small team, so you will contribute to all accounting and finance functions. Some knowledge of HR is preferred to lessen the burden on Executives. Your technical knowledge will ensure this client stays financially healthy by effectively managing accounts, financial statements, and cost analysis.
The particulars:
Position Summary:
The DOF plans and directs all financial and accounting activities of the company, ensuring financial integrity, accuracy of financial reporting, compliance with regulatory requirements, and provides strategic financial guidance to senior leadership.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Maintains and improves upon a documented system of accounting policies and procedures, and controls, to minimize risk.
- Oversees all Accounting Department activities.
- Owns the creation and continual maintenance and reporting of a robust job costing process, including time tracking and identification and tracking of direct and indirect costs to all projects.
- Monitors cash flow, liquidity, and basic financial investments to optimize cash management strategies.
- Owns cash flow forecasting.
- Oversees the monthly close process and production of monthly financial reports.
- Supports decision-making processes through financial modeling.
- Provides ad hoc financial analysis.
- Leads and owns the annual budgeting process.
- Manages all aspects of inventory accounting and fixed asset accounting, including valuation, tracking, internal controls, and reporting procedures.
- Ensures compliance with local, state, and federal government requirements.
- Acts as the main administrator of the accounting system and works to implement and unpack the full potential of the reporting and job costing add-on program.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
- Oversees the operations of the Accounting Department, which include accounts payable, accounts receivable, bank reconciliations, and payroll.
- Leads and mentors the accounting and finance team, fostering a culture of high performance, continuous improvement, and professional development.
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Business Administration required.
- 10+ years of related experience required with a proven track record of financial leadership, integrity, and professionalism.
- Certified Public Accountant or Certified Management Accountant designation preferred.
Comp to 180K plus potential bonus
