The Satellite Missions business unit is seeking a Business Development Manager to join our team. This individual may work in one of the following locations: • Dulles, VA • Gilbert, AZ • Redondo Beach, CA Lead business development and strategy for a portfolio of programs in the Intelligence, Surveillance & Reconnaissance and Tactical Sensing operating units inside of Satellite Missions business unit. This individual will provide direction on the sustainment and organic growth of existing business development targets/programs as well as developing and leading the future business capture strategy in the DoD, Intelligence Community and adjacent markets. The successful candidate must possess the domain experience and ability to: develop early win strategies for customer outreach and targeted influence; devise detailed government relations and legislative advocacy plans; convene multifunctional teams to create mission discriminators through affordable, innovative technology and engineering, management strategies and cost strategies, and present the aforementioned to senior management in a concise fashion to enable early bid/no bid decisions. Roles and responsibilities include: Translating customer needs into specific requirements, identifying/tailoring company services and solutions into offerings, and managing captures to effectively market the operating unit’s products and capabilities to meet those needs. Oversight on all aspects of the Business Acquisition Process (BAP) that includes steps to develop and execute growth strategies, identifying new business opportunities, establishing pursuit priorities, gaining and growing customer intimacy, and developing success capture plans. Assisting capture/proposal managers with new business proposals and execution. Participating in key capture pursuits. Basic Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree 9+ years of relevant experience in capture management, business development, engineering or program management 3+ years of management experience Must have a current and active Top Secret (TS)/Secret Compartmentalized Information (SCI) clearance at the time of application Preferred Qualifications: Understand the DoD & intelligence budgets and marketplace Experience in translating customer views and market data into new concepts of operation that drive affordable, innovative solutions and associated value propositions Domain expertise in the space bus development & integration Program management, hardware and/or software engineering skills SAP clearance eligibility Salary Range: $170,000 - $255,000 The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions. Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
