Reynolds is one of the largest community colleges in Virginia and serves Virginia's capital city and five nearby counties. Annually, our four campus sites serve approximately 13,000 credit students and provide training for 7,400 students through the Community College Workforce Alliance. The Talent Acquisition Specialist serves as the college's employee recruitment, onboarding, and exiting specialist, and provides guidance and assistance to college administrators regarding the employment process. This position ensures compliance with EEO/AA, VCCS and DHRM requirements in the advertisement, screening, referral, selection and hiring of full-time and part-time faculty positions, classified staff positions, and wage/hourly staff; and to complete processing tasks for work-study personnel.
Minimum Qualifications:
Demonstrated ability to maintain a high level of knowledge and expertise with college, VCCS, and DHRM policies as it relates to college employment matters.

Minimum Qualifications:
- Considerable working knowledge of principles and practices of personnel administration including employment practices, recruitment/selection, classification/compensation, payroll practices, record retention/file maintenance, and customer service principles and practices.
- Working knowledge of federal and state laws related to human resources issues.
- Demonstrated ability to develop and interpret policies and procedures, analyze data and present conclusions, and to review written documentation for adherence to policy and procedures.
- Demonstrated ability to maintain automated databases, perform automated report management, and produce automated reports.
- Demonstrated ability to independently provide guidance and direction to all levels of college staff regarding assigned HR work areas; prioritize and manage multiple tasks; and use sound judgment to resolve workplace issues.
- Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively, orally and in writing; and to perform accurate mathematical computations related to salaries/payroll data.
- Demonstrated ability to operate a personal computer and current software packages to include MSWord and Excel.
