The Purchasing Assistant/Expeditor Role is an essential element of both FDH's daily operations and its long-term supply chain management solutions. The Procurement department is the leader for our inventory strategy having responsibility for inventory pipeline/management, inventory turns management, product scheduling and Vendor Returns. The individual Supporting the Procurement team will be focused on prioritizing shortages, receiving issues and PO Change orders while working closely with the buyers and warehouse teams on those opportunities.
Responsibilities:
- PO Revisions & Change Orders
- Receiving Issues
- Shortage Management
- RTV
- Warehouse consumables, production suppliers and other non-inventory buys
- PO Cost Adjustments
- Expedites
- Intercompany Support
- Shipping Method changes
- Allocations & Inv Swap opportunities
- Minimum 3-5 years customer service, purchasing/sales support, or expeditor experience
- Experience with MRP system and data entry
- High attention to detail
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to adapt to changing situations and multi-task in a high pace environment
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word, and Access)
