Louisiana Nurse Staffing is dedicated to providing exceptional nursing services to local hospitals, skilled nursing facilities, and senior living communities. We are currently seeking committed Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs) to join our team and contribute to the delivery of high-quality care from New Orleans to Lafayette.
Key Responsibilities:
- Healthcare Coordination: Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure the delivery of quality care and restorative services that maximize resident health, functional capacity, and quality of life.
- Nursing Care: Provide both direct and indirect nursing care, conduct resident assessments, and develop care plans. Implement interventions and evaluate resident needs to ensure optimal care.
- Supervision: Oversee nursing assistants, ensuring compliance with professional nursing standards and adherence to state and federal regulations.
- Professional Representation: Maintain a professional demeanor and appearance, representing the organization with integrity.
- Communication & Documentation: Exhibit strong verbal and written communication skills, along with exceptional organizational and documentation abilities.
- Confidentiality & Reliability: Uphold confidentiality, demonstrate a reliable work ethic, and maintain good attendance and punctuality.
- Compassionate Care: Display high levels of motivation, energy, and compassion in providing care.
Qualifications:
Educational Requirements:
- Graduate of an accredited school of Licensed Practical Nursing.
- Current, unencumbered license to practice as an LPN in Louisiana.
- Current certification for Health Care Provider CPR.
Experience:
- Minimum of one year of nursing experience required.
- Experience in long-term care and with residents in advanced stages of dementia is highly preferred.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
- Capacity to lift and assist with resident transfers
Skills & Competencies:
- Team-oriented with excellent direct care skills.
- Professional interaction and strong communication abilities.
- Competency in using MatricCare or EPIC
- Attention to detail and dedication to completing tasks accurately and thoroughly.

Compensation and Benefits
We value the dedication and expertise of our team members, and we offer competitive compensation to reflect that. For those working a minimum of 35 hours per week and completing 90 days of employment, we provide health insurance benefits.
