You Are:

A skilled utility industry practitioner with the know-how to help clients meet the challenges of digitization. You have the experience, creativity and analytical power to design, solution, and implement the next generation of advanced metering infrastructure (AMI) solutions. Your bread and butter are the utility processes and technologies underlying foundational AMI capabilities (e.g., meter/network deployment, meter-to-cash, outage integration, web presentment), AMI operations, and AMI analytics.

You are not afraid to imagine next generation AMI solutions powered by artificial intelligence, automation, layered intelligence, and edge computing. You are a connecter, inspiring teams as you weave together complex solutions and share your vision and new ways of thinking. You have a proven track record of assembling and collaborating with diverse, high-octane teams that harness people's strength and deliver radical insight.

The Work:

  1. Act as a lead Solution Architect to create the integrated solution architecture for end-to-end AMI solutions, translating between functional and technical.
  2. Work with vendor and client architecture teams to define solution options, drive consensus across parties, and manage the key business decision-making process.
  3. Understand client challenges and articulate the value of transformation in terms of business outcomes.
  4. Bring thought leadership on the smart metering issues Utilities face today and, in the future.
  5. Constantly learn and bring new technologies and innovative advanced metering solutions to our clients.
  6. Be a role model and a coach for the next generation of Accenture analysts and consultants.
  7. Champion people on your team to succeed professionally and personally.
  8. Foster trusted advisor relationships with clients from strategy to technology; from the C-Suite to the front line; for business and IT.
  9. Integrate business data to discover new insight and enable evidence-based business decisions.
  10. Travel may be required for this role. The amount of travel will vary from 0 to 100% depending on business need and client requirements.

Basic Qualifications

  1. Minimum 7 years of experience in utilities (gas and electric).
  2. Minimum 7 years of experience in Solution Architecture.
  3. Minimum 7 years of project implementation experience in AMI processes and technologies; experience with interlocking business and IT requirements and inputs into a cohesive AMI solution.
  4. Minimum 7 years of project implementation experience working with major AMI product vendors (MDM, HE, network / meters, etc.) including but not limited to: Itron, Landis+Gyr, Aclara, Sensus, Siemens, Oracle, and SAP.
  5. Bachelor’s degree.
