Aon is looking for a Chief Operating Officer - Aon Growth Ventures. As part of an industry-leading team, you will help clients make better decisions by delivering innovative and effective solutions as part of North American Operations.
Your impact as Chief Operating Officer - Aon Growth Ventures (AGV):
- Operate as a member of the Growth Ventures leadership team in order to develop innovation strategy.
- Drive the ecosystem that will deliver the next generation of services and innovation in addition to driving the current operations.
- Ensure effective and compliant operating practice.
- Develop and oversee Aon Growth Ventures (AGV) operating strategy.
- Develop and drive a multi-year operational strategy (covering technology, operations and D&A) that supports the overall business objectives, including achieving growth, margin, market share, quality, colleague engagement and client experience targets.
- Design and deliver a coherent operating model across all elements of internal governance, Client Service Delivery, Business Platforms, Risk & Compliance, Procurement, technology, D&A and Growth Operations.
- Partner with LT to facilitate direct connections/support of Aon’s client growth agenda.
- Create an effective governance model to enable global Business Services leaders to operate across the region.
- Partner with the People Org and LT to develop career growth strategies for AGV colleagues through training, skillset upgrades and career development plans.
- Ensure the measurement and delivery of operational and other performance.
- Own and manage operational and technology costs.
- Ensure that effective processes are embedded across the region to manage risk and maintain compliance with all regulations and Corporate policies.
- Work closely with the CFO to ensure costs are tightly managed, focusing on non-SIB items and investments.
- Lead change management and transformation initiatives.
- Partner with Leadership Team to develop the Merger, Divestments and Acquisition agenda and lead operational integration activities.
Knowledge, Skills, and Experience:
- Passionate and entrepreneurial about leading and enabling change in a complex regulated industry.
- Deep understanding of local context, trends, and macroeconomic factors.
- Experience working in a heavily matrixed environment with strong collaboration, relationship-building, and influencing skills.
- Demonstrated ability to lead and drive technology and process change.
- Future focus to identify capacity to enable colleagues to spend more time with clients.
- Commercial acumen to deliver return on investment.
- Proven experience managing risk.
- Strong leadership and motivational skills.
- Builds inclusive and diverse teams.
- 10 years’ experience working in a matrixed, global organization.
Education:
Bachelor’s degree required, advanced degree preferred, or equivalent years of industry experience.
