What You'll Do:
* Collaborate with subsystem and software engineers to integrate MATLAB and C++ models of weapons, sensors, ground systems and environments, guidance, navigation and autopilot algorithms and actual Operational Flight Program code into the 6-Degree of Freedom (6-DOF) Integrated Flight Simulations (IFS).
* Perform modeling and simulation tasks for system survivability, Safety of Flight (SOF), trade studies and simulation analyses for end-to-end kill chain assessment
* Use the simulations to support Hardware In the Loop (HWIL) Lab to verify performance requirements are met.
* Support integration and testing of hardware and software in Hardware In-the-Loop (HWIL).
* Participate in flight test prediction and data performance analysis for flight tests
Basic Required Qualifications:
* Bachelor's Degree in Engineering Field or Physics
* Proficient in C++
* FORTRAN experience with 6-Degree of Freedom simulation
* Experience in Aerospace Applications
Desired skills:
* Proficient in C++ and MATLAB and/or Python
* Willingness to work onsite in a classified lab environment
* Ability to occasionally travel for up to two weeks at a time to support flight tests
* Experience integrating and testing hardware and software in Hardware In-the-Loop (HWIL)
* Familiarity with some, or all, of the following: linear algebra, probability and statistics, state dynamic equations, Kalman filter applications, kinematics, and rotating coordinate systems.
* Active Secret clearance required to start
Core hours of First Shift schedule: Monday through Thursday from 9am-3pm CST.
