Responsibilities:

1. Designs, develops, documents, tests, and debugs applications software and systems that contain logical and mathematical solutions.
2. Conducts multidisciplinary research and collaborates with equipment designers and/or hardware engineers in the planning, design, development, and utilization of electronic data processing systems for product and commercial software.
3. Determines computer user needs; analyzes system capabilities to resolve problems on program intent, output requirements, input data acquisition, programming techniques and controls.
4. Prepares operating instructions; designs and develops compilers and assemblers, utility programs, and operating systems.
5. Ensures software standards are met.

Basic Qualifications:

1. Active DoD Secret clearance.
2. 12 Years with Bachelor's in science; 10 Years with Masters; 8 Years with PhD.
3. Experience with leading software development team, managing SW project deadlines and budgets, and planning SW project scope.
4. Coding skills in multiple languages, knowledge of automated testing frameworks, and ability to foster an engaging environment for the software team.
5. Proficiency in Java programming, including unit testing and debugging.
6. Experience with a scripting language (e.g. Python, Bash).
7. Strong SQL skills.
8. Solid understanding of Linux/Unix environments and shell scripting.
9. Understanding of Model-Based Software Engineering.
10. Experience with CI/CD pipelines and Jenkins.
11. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interface with all levels of employees and management.
12. Ability to coordinate and represent software development with other disciplines including Program Management, System Engineering, Infrastructure, Cybersecurity, and Customers.
13. Agile Leadership, Agile planning, CAM, Agile EVMS.

Preferred Qualifications:

1. Working knowledge of CAPS Software and CAPS Domain Expertise.
2. Experience with Command & Control (C2) Ground SW applications.
3. Experience with implementing code based on Interface Control Documents (ICDs).
4. Knowledge of the following technologies:
1. Java Message Service (JMS).
2. Google Guice.
3. Google Protocol Buffers.
5. Experience in Python programming.
6. Proficiency in C++ programming, including unit testing and debugging.
7. Familiarity with design patterns like Dependency Injection, Publish/Subscribe, Builder, Observer.

Salary Range: $171,000 - $256,400

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills, and current market conditions. Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay.
