The opportunity

EY Technology Consulting is a fast-moving and high-growth area within EY. We are currently looking for a Senior Manager - SAP Analytics to join our Enterprise Applications team. This role offers variety, responsibility, and the opportunity to realize your leadership potential. We are looking for an individual who combines SAP Analytics technical aptitude with an affinity for helping clients and for helping grow our business.

Your key responsibilities

As a Senior Manager - SAP Analytics, your responsibilities will be threefold: (1) Lead client teams and EY teams to arrive at enterprise SAP Analytics solutions that are scalable, adaptable and in synchronization with ever changing business need, (2) provide SAP Analytics solution architecture expertise and thought leadership , and (3) actively invest in and mentor team members on and off projects to create a followership and to expand our expertise and capabilities, including acting as a liaison and increasing collaboration with our offshore team.

Skills and attributes for success
  • Experience with solution architecture for SAP Analytics solutions including SAP Datasphere, SAP CDS Views, SAP BW/4HANA, SAP Analytics Cloud, SAP Business Objects.
  • Strong written and verbal client-facing communication and presentation skills; should be comfortable interacting with clients daily.
  • The ability to effectively team with diverse skills and backgrounds and foster an innovative and inclusive team-oriented work environment.
  • Experience with proposal writing and preparing and delivering orals presentations.
  • An interest in staying abreast of business and industry trends as it relates to SAP Analytics.
  • A forward thinker and self-starter that thrives on an adapts quickly to new challenges.
  • A strong work ethic, an ability to manage multiple tasks and tight deadlines with confidence and ease, and a high degree of professionalism to tackle evolving, challenging, and diverse client needs.
  • Strong knowledge of the overall SAP Reporting and Analytics roadmap and experience with assisting clients to understand the myriad of options available to them. This should include preparing the business case to define an appropriate roadmap for their business and ultimately helping them in executing that roadmap.


To qualify for the role, you must have:
  • A bachelor's or master's degree in information systems, commerce, accounting, computer science, engineering, business, finance and/or other related major.
  • A minimum of 10 years of experience implementing SAP Analytics/BI solutions, including numerous years of hands-on experience.
  • Experience implementing SAP Datasphere including BW Bridge: data modeling, views, analytical models, replication flows and transformation flows.
  • Delivered full life-cycle SAP Analytics solutions (including prepare, high level design, detailed design, build, test, deploy and support phases) in Business Intelligence (BI) using SAP Datasphere, SAP HANA, SAP BW/4HANA, CDS Views, and SAC platforms.
  • Extensive experience in implementing SAP Analytics solutions including data modeling using CDS views, calculation views (graphical and scripted) as well as virtual data models, HANA data provisioning and HANA security.
  • Implementation/Migration experience of moving SAP BW to the SAP Datasphere or HANA platform as well as excellent experience with BW/4HANA.
  • Knowledge of SAP S/4 and ECC data models and analysis is a must.
  • Experience with SAP Reporting & Analytics front-end tools such as SAP Analytics Cloud and the BusinessObjects suite of products including Analysis for Office.
  • Preferred candidates will have an SAP Analytics certification.

  • Systems thinking - the ability to see how parts interact with the whole (big picture thinking)
  • Ability to explain complex technical issues in a way that non-technical people may understand.
  • Project and program management planning and organizational skills
  • Ability to deal with abstract concepts and communicate these effectively through compelling written and graphical materials.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage and supervise a team of technology consultants through all phases of the technology life cycle, including requirements definition, architecture, design, development, implementation, conversion and testing.
  • Strong written and verbal communication, presentation, client service and technical writing skills, coupled with a strong interest in further developing and integrating operations with technology skills.
