Quality Engineer. Brookhaven, MS. Develop strategies and actions to prevent quality issues in manufacturing processes. Develop and implement quality assurance and continuous improvement programs to meet safety and quality standards and reduce costs. Analyze data to monitor and maintain Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), including COPQ (Cost of Poor Quality), FTQ (First Time Quality), and quality system audits. Utilize 8Ds methodology to prevent recurrence of quality issues. Determine optimal sample sizes for finished goods to facilitate regular quality audits and maintain control plan documentation. Manage non-conformance product control and rework processes, employing Pareto charts, Statistical Process Control (SPC), and other tools for process validation and improvement. Execute operational audits, assess operations, compliance, and risks, and develop plans using industry standards. Requires Bachelor's degree in Industrial and Systems Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or closely related field, and two years of experience in quality engineering in the automotive industry. Experience must include developing continuous improvement programs, using quality management systems, performing statistical data analysis to evaluate key performance indicators (KPIs), implementing quality assurance measures, testing for failure mitigation, identifying root causes of technical problems, utilizing industry standards ISO 9000 and IATF 16959, and Python, Excel, and Minitab.
