The EPCM Global Group is on the lookout for a talented and energetic Mechatronics and Automation Technician to enhance our pioneering team. As a reputable leader in engineering, procurement, and construction management, we want you to play a crucial role in our state-of-the-art automation solutions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Install, maintain, and repair automated systems, including robotic technologies and programmable logic controllers (PLCs).
  • Conduct regular diagnostic evaluations and preventive maintenance on automation equipment.
  • Identify and resolve issues in mechanical, electrical, or computer systems efficiently.
  • Replace or repair defective components, including sensors and wiring.
  • Program and enhance PLCs and control systems.
  • Perform equipment testing and analyze performance metrics.
  • Develop and update technical documentation, including maintenance protocols and equipment manuals.
  • Educate operators and fellow technicians on effective equipment operation and maintenance practices.
  • Work closely with engineers and team members to boost system performance and reliability.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Associate's degree in Automation Technology, Manufacturing Technology, or related discipline.
  • At least 5 years of experience in the automation industry.
  • Solid understanding of electronics, mechanics, and computer systems.
  • Expertise in PLC programming and troubleshooting, such as Allen Bradley or Siemens.
  • Hands-on experience with robotics systems including ABB, Fanuc, or Kuka.
  • Ability to read and understand electrical schematics and CAD drawings.
  • Fluency in Spanish is an asset; conversational Spanish is necessary.
  • Exceptional problem-solving and analytical capabilities.
  • Strong interpersonal and teamwork skills.
  • Willing to travel for on-site customer support, with up to 30% travel required.
