Information System Security Engineer (ISSE)

ManTech is seeking a motivated, mission- oriented Information Systems Security Engineer in the Chantilly, VA area to provide unparalleled support to our customer.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
IAT personnel focus on the client IS and support, monitor, test and troubleshoot hardware and software IA problems
Expert in IAT functions
Provide IT security engineering, integration services, technical assessments, and solutions
Apply principles and techniques of computer science, engineering, and mathematical
analysis.
Integrate with third-party APIs and internal utilities
Analyzes and develops computer systems possessing a wide range of capabilities, including numerous engineering, business and records management functions.
Develops plans for automated information systems from project inception to conclusion
including systems requirements determination.
Designs subsystems to support software reuse and domain analyses and manage their implementation.
Perform hardware and software tuning, analyze workload and computer usage, maintain interfaces with outside systems, analyze downtimes, and analyze proposed system modifications, upgrades and new COTS.
Defines the problem, and develops systems requirements and program specifications, from
which programmers prepare detailed flow charts, programs, and tests.
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
5+ years of relevant experience
IAT Level II certification of CASP+ CE, CCNP Security, CISA, CISSP, GCED or GCIH within 6 months of hire
Experience with hands on monitoring
Strong knowledge of data structures and audit events
Experience with Information System Accreditation Tools
Quick learner, both able and willing to learn new technology and software
Ability to work with minimum supervision, while collaborating with team members regularly
Preferred Qualifications:
Writing reports
Understanding of REST APIs
Exposure to databases and SQL, tuning and configuration
Experience with Amazon Web Services and/or other cloud service providers
Security Clearance Requirements:
Current TS/SCI clearance with Polygraph
Physical Requirements:
Must be able to be in a stationary position more than 50% of the time
Must be able to communicate, converse, and exchange information with peers and senior personnel
Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a computer
