Your search ends with Leidos! We're seeking a Information Systems Security Engineer to support the Air Education & Training Command at Randolph AFB in San Antonio, TX. Candidates must currently possess a TS/SCI security clearance.Job Summary:Ensures Command’s compliance with the Department of Defense (DOD), AF IC, and Cybersecurity directives.Develops MAJCOM level policy, enforces public law, national standards, intelligence and security policies, directives, instructions, and regulations. Interprets IC Directives (ICD) and associated IC Standards (ICS) as well as applicable National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) publications and AF IC policy memoranda.Ensures Command’s AF IC IE are secured in accordance with ICD 503, Committee on National Security Systems Instruction (CNSS) 1253, NIST Special Publication (SP) 800-37, NIST SP 800-53, DoD 8570.01-M, Air Force Policy Directive (AFPD) 14-3, Air Force Instruction (AFI) 33-200 and Air Force Manual (AFMAN) 17-1305.Ensures information security requirements are effectively implemented throughout the security architecting, designing, development, configuration, and implementation processes.Provides technical guidance and training to Information System Security Managers (ISSM) and Information System Security Officers (ISSO).Develops training aids to assist ISSM/ISSO with practical implementation of security requirements.Assists all AETC organizations in the development of their individual RMF program. Disseminates information and ensures computer security practices are adhered to by all functional areas.Carries out activities leading to security accreditation and authorization (A&A) including providing guidance and assistance in the preparation of certification and accreditation packages.Travel:Required for position. Candidate will travel at least 8 times a year.What Sets you Apart (Required Qualifications):Current TS/SCI security clearance on day 1Bachelor's degree in computer science, software engineering or a related information/cyber security field. Additional experience may be considered in lieu of degree.5+ years of related experience.Must possess one of the following certifications (CISSP, CISM, CISSO, GCIA, GCSA, GCIH, GSLC, GICSP, or CISSP-ISSMP) Must maintain DoD 8140 certification requirements.Basic understanding of computer architecture, computer networking, operating systems and fundamentals of computer and network security.Nice to Have (Preferred Qualifications):Understanding of DoD RMFUnderstanding of network security principlesExperience with firewalls, intrusion detection systems, and other security toolsKnowledge of vulnerability scanning and penetration testingAbility to design and implement security solutionsExperience with secure coding practicesStrong analytical and problem-solving skillsKnowledge of risk management and compliance regulationsExcellent communication and collaborationExperience using XACTA IA Manager ApplicationIntermediate proficiency using Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and ExcelEIO2024Original Posting Date:2024-12-13While subject to change based on business needs, Leidos reasonably anticipates that this job requisition will remain open for at least 3 days with an anticipated close date of no earlier than 3 days after the original posting date as listed above.Pay Range:Pay Range $85,150.00 - $153,925.00The Leidos pay range for this job level is a general guideline onlyand not a guarantee of compensation or salary.
