We are looking for an outstanding senior software engineer to architect and develop innovative algorithms and infrastructure for the next generation of thoughtful and personal products we deliver. Description

In this role you will ideate, prototype and build new intelligence algorithms and product features to power new Photos experiences related to Photos For You, Memories, and People. Candidates should have a proven track record that demonstrates building product features, strong collaboration, excellent interpersonal skills and a passion for designing high quality algorithms with the user experience in focus. The candidate needs to show initiative, take ownership of a problem and work cross-functionally to collect information, solve problems and disseminate findings.

Minimum Qualifications

Minimum of 3 years of software engineering experience, with expertise in data structures, algorithms, and object-oriented programming

Ability to develop and optimize code to run on a constrained environment

Experience developing mobile software products

Firm grasp of asynchronous programming concepts

Key Qualifications

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with Apple system level APIs and frameworks

Demonstrated expertise with Objective-C / C++ / Swift

Interest in applying machine learning algorithms to product

Familiarities with Knowledge Graph and Traversal Algorithms

Excellent analytical, problem solving, interpersonal and communication skills

B.S. / M.Sc. / Ph.D. in Computer Science or equivalent experience

At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $143,100 and $264,200, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.Apple employees also have the opportunity to become an Apple shareholder through participation in Apple’s discretionary employee stock programs.
