Position Summary : Lourdes University is seeking a creative, tech-savvy, and results-driven individual to serve as a Digital Media Coordinator. This position is integral to the university's digital presence, responsible for developing, implementing, and managing engaging content across digital platforms. The Digital Media Coordinator will collaborate with the marketing and communications teams to enhance the university's online visibility, promote brand messaging, and engage prospective students, alumni, faculty, staff, and the wider community through various digital channels.Key Responsibilities:1. Content Management:Develop and execute creative digital content strategies across the university's website, social media platforms, email campaigns, and other online channels.Ensure all digital content aligns with Lourdes University's brand voice, mission, and values.Manage and update the university's website and digital assets to keep content fresh, accurate, and engaging.2. Social Media Strategy and Management:Oversee and maintain the university's social media presence on platforms such as Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, LinkedIn, TikTok, and YouTube.Develop a social media calendar and strategy to drive engagement and increase followers while supporting admissions, academic programs, student life, and alumni relations.Monitor social media interactions, respond to inquiries, and engage with followers in a timely and professional manner.Analyze and report on social media performance, providing insights and recommendations for improvement.3. Digital Campaigns and Advertising:Assist in the creation and execution of digital marketing campaigns aimed at increasing awareness, engagement, and conversion (e.g., inquiries, applications, donations).Manage paid advertising efforts (Google Ads, Facebook Ads, etc.), including budget management, audience targeting, ad creation, and campaign optimization.Track and report on campaign performance, utilizing analytics to adjust strategies and improve results.4. Analytics and Reporting:Utilize web and social media analytics tools (Google Analytics, social media insights, etc.) to track digital performance.Generate regular reports on website traffic, social media engagement, and the effectiveness of digital marketing campaigns.Analyze data to inform decision-making and optimize future digital media strategies.5. Collaboration and Cross-Departmental Support:Work closely with the marketing, communications, admissions, and advancement teams to ensure consistency in messaging and that digital media efforts align with university-wide goals.Provide digital content support for campus events, academic departments, and student organizations, ensuring a cohesive and integrated digital presence.6. Trend Monitoring and Innovation:Stay up-to-date with the latest trends in digital media, social media algorithms, and emerging technologies to ensure Lourdes University remains at the forefront of digital marketing.Recommend new tools, platforms, and strategies to enhance the university's digital engagement and online presence.7. Other Duties:Perform other digital media and marketing duties as assigned by the Director of Marketing and Communications.RequirementsEducation:Bachelor's degree in Digital Media, Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, or a related field.Experience:1-2 years of professional experience in digital media, social media management, content creation, or digital marketing.Experience in higher education marketing or working with a nonprofit organization is a plus.Skills & Abilities:Strong knowledge of social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, LinkedIn, TikTok, YouTube, etc.) and content management tools.Proficiency in graphic design software (Adobe Creative Suite, Canva, etc.) and video editing software (Final Cut Pro, Adobe Premiere, etc.).Familiarity with web design and content management systems (WordPress, HTML/CSS).Strong writing, editing, and proofreading skills with an eye for detail.Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, prioritize effectively, and meet deadlines.Knowledge of SEO best practices and website optimization techniques.Experience with Google Analytics, social media analytics tools, and email marketing platforms (e.g., Mailchimp, Constant Contact, etc.).Creative, proactive, and able to work independently or as part of a team.Working Conditions:Full-time, 12-month position.Occasional evening or weekend work may be required for special projects or events.
