You will manage New Component Requests, maintain components and Lifecycle in our PLM system and proper syncing with our EBS system. Your proven ability to work well with others will enable you to influence and institutionalize change throughout the organization. You will also need to leverage your excellent customer service skills to garner the trust and respect of both internal and external customers. The day-to-dayLearn and stay informed of technology developments that may benefit designsCOTS part creation and lifecycle management and reportingPart validation, duplicate parts, classification, overall database integrityGenerate Source Control Drawings as requiredWork closely with the Compliance and Environmental and Supply Chain teamsLifecycle management, including Obsolescence, Change Process, LTB Notices, New revs, errataSupport the management of component standards and component GIDEP alertsSupport CAD teams with proper drawings/specsMulti-sourcing/multi-supplier to reduce Sole Sourced componentsInterface with Receiving to resolve discrepanciesWhat you'll need5+ years of technical experience in development of highly complex products in aerospace and/or a communications environmentBachelor’s Degree in an Engineering related field or equivalent years of experienceUnderstanding of electrical, mechanical and OEM computer/network component datasheetsStrong Oral and Written skillsTravel is up to 10%US Citizenship RequiredWhat will help you on the jobStrong understanding and of working with Oracle Agile PLM or other PLMWorking knowledge of components, MIL Specs and MIL Standards is a plus#LI-BBS Salary range$124,500.00 - $177,000.00 / annually.
For specific work locations within San Jose, the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, the base pay range for this role is $152,000.00- $206,000.00/ annually At Viasat, we consider many factors when it comes to compensation, including the scope of the position as well as your background and experience. Base pay may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Additional cash or stock incentives may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to a range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the position offered.
